SMB is seeking a senior project manager with a broad-based science and planning-related background and experience with the water and wastewater industry. The successful candidate should be well-versed in issues related to hydrology and water quality, with strong knowledge of the Central Valley and the Bay-Delta regulatory environment and operations a plus. Successful candidates will also have strong knowledge of and experience with CEQA and NEPA compliance.

Candidates must possess effective problem-solving ability, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work with a team. Candidates must also have expertise in managing large-scale and complex projects, client interaction, and demonstrated successful new business development experience. Qualified candidates should have at least a BA/BS in a related discipline, a minimum of 10 years of experience, or alternatively, a Masters and a minimum of 8 years of experience.

SMB is seeking a senior biologist with a strong background and experience in conducting field surveys for a variety of state and federally listed plant and wildlife species. The position requires a minimum education of a B.A./B.S. in biology, botany, ecology, or wildlife with 3 to 8 years of experience in biology resources in the Central Valley and the Bay-Delta.

This position requires a strong background and experience in conducting field surveys for a variety of state and federally listed plant and wildlife species; experience preparing technical reports, including biological sections for CEQA/NEPA, FESA/CESA, and CWA Section 404 documents; applicable USFWS and DFG permits for the handling of listed species, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals; and strong technical writing skills, GIS experience, and consulting experience.
